Parents,
We had a terrific week! On Monday, James Oglethorpe taught us some new things and he brought some cool items for us to see.
I hope your children shared their thoughts about The Nutcracker with you. We took a survey and most of the children said that they liked it. Whether they liked it or not, all eyes were glued to the stage and all had smiles. I loved sharing the experience with them.
The Scholastic order came in and will be sent home on Monday. If you did not already do so, please let me know if your order is a gift and will arrange pick up with you.
Here is what we are learning next week:
Math: Measurement (centimeters and meters)
Reading/Language Arts: Nonfiction Text: ask and answer questions, identify key points and main topic
Writing: Publishing our nonfiction writing of choice
Social Studies: Allocation of goods and services
Information and reminders:
Tuesday: ILC with Mrs. Bates
Friday: Holiday celebration
*You can send in your wrapped book for the book exchange at any time before the 15th. Please write who it is to and from.
*Holiday Traditions projects are due December 19th and 20th. I look forward to hearing about your tradition.
