Parents,
It has been such a fun week as we supported our Falcons. The children had a blast decorating our door and seeing all of the decorated hallways. Team spirit was everywhere. Rise up for Sunday!
Here is what we are learning next week:
Math: Subtracting up to 1000 and one-step problem solving.
Reading/Language Arts: Fairy tales and folk tales. We will be studying the story structure and the differences of fairy tales in other cultures..
Writing: We will be starting a new opinion writing. The students have been doing really well with providing reasons and examples.
Science: Sun, moon, stars
Information and reminders:
Tuesday: ILC
Friday: School dance
In the TTF’s Science Lab this month Mr. Giunta has been working with our students on the orbit of the sun. We built shadow trackers with card stock and used the Skyview App to record the sun’s movement throughout the day. Next week we’ll graph our data before we get started on the phases of the moon. Get more details on Mr. Giunta’s blog!
*Reminder to have your child log their nightly reading on the 200 book club logs.
