Parents,
Walk to School Day was a success! We had 20 walkers just from our class. Thank you for participating.
We had a wonderful field trip to Safety Village. Valuable lessons were taught and we were able to participate in hands on fire safety and bike safety activities. Hopefully your children shared about our trip.
Here is what we are learning next week:
Math: Place value within 1000; Time to 5 minutes
Reading/Language Arts: We will be learning how to identify the main purpose of a text (what the author wants to answer, explain, and describe)/ commas when writing letters/r-controlled a syllable patterns (mark, smart )
Writing: We will be publishing our final narratives for Quarter 1.
Social Studies: Continuing to make connections between our lives and the Creek and Cherokee while learning about Sequoya and James Oglethorpe.
Information and reminders:
*Wednesday- ILC with Mrs. Bates
*Reminder to have your child log their nightly reading on the 200 book club logs.
