Families,
I hope you have been enjoying the posts on SeeSaw. I think it is a great way to get a glimpse into what your child is learning at school.
Here is what we are learning the week of 9/9:
Reading/ELA- We will continue to focus on questioning while we read, and we will continue to explore story structure including problem/solution and moral/lesson.
Phonics – We will review collective nouns and continual practice with short/long vowels and vowel teams.
Writing- We will continue our unit on small moment stories (personal narratives). We will focus on telling a complete beginning, middle, and end.
Math- Continuing with place value and focusing on word problems.
Social Studies- Georgia’s 5 regions (Blue Ridge, Piedmont, Coastal Plain, Valley and Ridge, and Appalachian Plateau) and introducing the major rivers of Georgia.
STEAM – Problems Around Us
Important dates:
Monday: Counseling with Mrs. Grindstaff
Wish List:
Disposable face masks for Mrs. Chasko’s class
Small treasure box items
