Parents,
Thank you all for returning the field trip forms for our visit to Safety Village on the 14th. We will have an in house visit from them next week to get the kids ready. This is a favorite trip as it is very informative and fun. If you are interested in chaperoning, please let me know. I am looking for two volunteers.
We will be having a valentine exchange on the morning of the February 14th. Please have your child bring in a signed valentine for each child and a valentine box or bag to collect their valentines. A class list will be going home on Monday.
Box Top collection begins again on Monday. If you have been collecting, please send them in groups of 50. Thank you so much.
Our lost and found area is overflowing. Coats/items with names are returned if found but those without names are often donated if they cannot find their owner. PLEASE put your child’s name in their coats. I would hate for them to lose them.
Here is what we are learning next week:
Math- Add/Subtract within 1,000 using mental strategies/ Problem solving
Reading/ELA- Folk tales, fables, and fairy tales. We will be looking at story structure and asking/answering questions and determining the lesson or moral.
Writing- Opinion Writing
Social Studies/Science- Juliette Gordon Low
