Here is what we are learning the week of 12/2:
Math- We will begin our unit on measurement. We will focus on feet and inches, and we will practice solving measurement word problems.
Reading/ELA- We will begin our unit on poetry. We will focus on finding rhythm and meaning in poems, songs, and stories.
Phonics - We will introduce possessive nouns and review contractions.
Writing- Informational writing
Social Studies - Sequoyah; we will learn about his contributions, character traits, and how he adapted to and was influenced by his environment.
Science - We will introduce our unit on stars. Students will compare stars based on physical attributes such as size and brightness.
STEAM – Ongoing Save the Monarchs project.
