Parents,
We had a wonderful week celebrating the arts. We were fortunate to see many presenters and learn how art is incorporated in many different ways. We learned about Origami, the graphic art at The Weather Channel, art and music integration, how wrapping paper is made (Johnny’s mom), and about sports editing (Brady’s dad). It was such a neat opportunity.
Monday is our field trip to the Chattahoochee Nature Center. If your child is bringing a lunch from home, please remember to send in a disposable bag with their name on it. Please have your child wear their burgundy Tritt shirts if they have them. If they do not, they can wear any Tritt or burgundy shirt. Tennis shoes should be worn as we do a lot of walking and sunscreen/bug spray should be applied before coming to school.
Who can believe it is May? Where did this year go? I am excited to share this fun filled month with your children. For the month of May, the only homework will be reading 20 minutes each night and a Math Array Project. A flyer explaining the project will be coming home on Tuesday. This is a no stress and fun project.
Finally, on Thursday, May 3rd from 8:15-10:00 is our STEAM Showcase. The students will be working on a Life Cycle challenge. If you are able to drop in to see your children in action and see how STEAM looks in our classroom, we would love it.
Have a terrific week!
