Parents,
We had a fun week! On Tuesday we listened to some Kennesaw State football players read and today we had a special guest reader (Mrs. Alea dressed up as Mrs. Frizzle from Magic School Bus) and were lucky enough to have AJ’s parents come to the classroom to do a density experiment. The kids loved it.
Here is what we are learning this week:
Math- Money involving dollar bills, quarters, nickels, dimes, and pennies.
Reading/ELA- Folk tales, fables, and fairy tales. We will be comparing and contrasting different versions of the same story/Shades of Meaning of verbs (toss, throw, hurl) and closely related adjectives (thin, slender, skinny, scrawny)
Writing- Opinion Writing
Social Studies/Science- Sun/stars; comparing and contrasting by using physical attributes like size and brightness.
Health- Dental Hygiene
Important Dates and Info:
Monday- ILC with Mrs. Bates
Thursday- Picture Day
Friday- Walk to School Day
