Parents,
I hope that you all had a wonderful break whether you traveled or stayed in town. Thank you to all who uploaded a picture to the class Padlet. I enjoyed getting a sneak peek into what you all did. It is not too late to upload pictures if you have them.
Please remember to review the parent/teacher conference forms that were sent home and sign and return as soon as possible.
Here is what we are learning this week:
Math: Problem solving within 20/Graphing (picture and bar graphs)
Reading/Language Arts: Continuing with understanding key details in a text. Using who, what, when, why, how questions when we read and using context clues to understand the meaning of a word or phrase.
Writing: Narrative pieces; we will continue to strengthen our small moment stories by using mentor texts and revisions.
Social Studies: We will review the major rivers in the state of Georgia. We will learn why we need rules and laws, and we will identify elected officials at local, state, and national levels.
Health: We will learn about healthy eating choices and how what we eat can affect our bodies in many ways.
STEM: Stuck Like Glue Challenge: adding our evaluation and graphing results.
Information and Important Dates:
Monday: ILC with Mrs. Bates
October 12th: Early Release
October 16th-20th: Conference Week
